Megalast dog toys were the first products that Brutherford was able to design for domestic production. Alot of consideration went in to the form to create a product that could be molded with ease in the United States, the goal being little or no post molding labor. We sourced domestic tooling, domestically produced raw materials and partnered with a local molder in a solar powered factory and started production in 2009. The line has been a continual success since then with various line extensions and private label offerings using the process and materials developed for these toys. The project was recognized as notable by Pratt Institute for it's design as well as its environmental and social impact. Target picked up the products and decided to use them in their long term in-store graphics for many years.
